Behbehani Brothers began as a general trading company. In 1957, the company entered the automotive sector by becoming the official distributor of Volkswagen in Bahrain. Over the decades, it expanded its portfolio to include several prestigious automotive brands:
As a market leader in Bahrain's automotive trade, Behbehani Brothers built brand new, state-of-the-art facilities in Sitra to accommodate the growing demand. These included dedicated showrooms for Volkswagen, Porsche, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, RAM, and Audi. The main Sitra site also houses a large parts warehouse, a vehicle refinishing center, and a training academy accredited by the UK's Institute of the Motor Industry.
In 2012, the company further expanded its brand portfolio by adding the Italian brands Fiat and Alfa Romeo.

The British luxury automotive manufacturer Bentley Motors appointed Behbehani Brothers as their official retail partner in 2019 to provide sales and after-sales services in the Kingdom. Having the dedicated sales and service showrooms in Sitra.
Towards the end of 2019 Behbehani Brothers further extended their portfolio of prestigious brands by partnering with the Czech Republic Automotive Manufacturer Skoda. The appointment represents another milestone in growth and new era of Skoda in Bahrain.
